Lead and define the scope, scale and detailed project plan of 2 strategic projects - the “carve out” and creation of the global Omya Performance Polymer Distribution business along with the integration of the recent company acquisition Distrupol post-closing.
Responsible for driving to completion these 2 key projects ensuring that organizational, IT, legal, financial, controlling, HR as well as all other operational business and processes run smoothly.
Establish project plans - setting the scope, marking the projects milestones and creating the critical path to success. Monitor the progress and performance of the 2 projects against the plan, ensuring that any changes that significantly impact the scope, or timeline of the projects are managed accordingly.
Coordinate the project team and work with other business areas within the organization to secure specialized resources as required. Strong leadership is required, providing work direction, guidance and supervision to the project team. Coaching and mentoring project staff will be important along with assistance in problem solving.
Conducting regular project meetings and preparing project status reports is fundamental, as well as regularly informing the Steering Committee (CEO & Executive Board Members) on the status quo along with coordinating and leading all communication updates.
Ensure that the Omya values are upheld with all collaborative partners both internal and external and that effective Sustainability Management (Quality, Health, Safety and Environment) procedures are maintained in accordance with Omya policies and local laws and regulations.
University Degree
Complex project management experience
Expertise in Change Management
Strong understanding of business process/system redesign and financial concepts
People related lead and motivating communication skills
Excellent command of both oral and written local language and English are required. Any other language is beneficial.
