Head of Digital Portfolio RDS
Job main responsibilities
The Head of Digital Portfolio RDS plays a pivotal role in driving the implementation of digital technologies in Omya’s Innovation and R&D communities globally. The job holder leads a dynamic team of project management and digitalization professionals and will pro-actively guide and influence Innovation Leaders and their teams in order to bring digital projects to life. As a digital business liaison, the Head of Digital Portfolio RDS will work closely together with the Omya Digital Transformation Team in implementing the R&D and Innovation Digital Strategy.
Together with the Global R&D and Innovation Leadership and the Omya Digital Transformation Team, the Head of Digital Portfolio RDS guides the R&D and Innovation teams of Omya through the transformation to a future characterized by the prevalence of digital technologies such as AI and ML. As a business-oriented leader, the job holder enables the technical communities to valorize its core competencies in a data driven world. The Head of Digital Portfolio RDS is an excellent team player who has the ability to influence and lead with minimal authority and takes accountability in helping the global R&D and Innovation teams to continue to be a key success factor of Omya’s current and future business.
Candidate profile requirements
University Degree (Master or higher) in Science, Engineering or Business
7-10 years of project and/or business management experience, with track record in Project Management and Digitalization
Excellent Leadership skills: lead and develop a team of experts. Proven track record of being able to influence without direct authority
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in an intercultural business environment
Working knowledge of digitalization topics (AI/ML/LLM/others) project management methods, and innovation tools
Great time management skills and ability to organize, multitask, prioritize
Effective team player
Very good command of both oral and written local language and English are required, every additional language is a plus
